Bug #1003
openFuzzy Match Tool – Merge (Only Records from a Different Source are Compared) results do not match Alteryx and throws “Invalid match type(s)” error in Prism
0%
Description
In the Analytical Canvas → Join Section → Fuzzy Match Tool, when selecting the option “Merge (Only Records from a Different Source are Compared)”, the output generated in Prism does not match the results produced by Alteryx using the same input dataset and configuration.
Additionally, Prism displays the following error message:
Fuzzy Match: Invalid match type(s): {invalid_types}
This issue leads to inconsistent results between Prism and Alteryx, even when identical fields, match types, and configurations are used.
Actual Result
Prism output under Merge (Only Records from a Different Source are Compared) does not match Alteryx results.
Prism throws an error:
“Fuzzy Match: Invalid match type(s): {invalid_types}”
Matching records are either missing, incorrectly merged, or the tool fails to execute properly.
Expected Result
Prism Fuzzy Match Tool should generate results identical to Alteryx when the same dataset and configuration are used.
The Merge (Only Records from a Different Source are Compared) option should correctly compare records from different sources and produce accurate matched output.
No validation error should appear if valid match types are selected.
The tool should execute successfully without displaying Invalid match type(s) error.
